The way this program works starts with you the hunter, land owner or farmer harvests a legal deer. Each deer must be properly taged and field dressed, bring it to us ASAP.   We will give you a CNY Food Bank receipt for your taxes (check with  your tax accountant for details) when you drop the deer off. This program is open all year long to property owners and farmers with DEC nuisance permits. 

There is No cost to any hunter when donating a deer or any portion of a deer.

     We will skin and debone the deer, grind it into fresh ground meat.  It's then package in 5# meat tubes and frozen untill the CNY food bank picks it up for re-distributation to food pantries and soup kitchens in the CNY area.
